Job summary

The Environment Agency is seeking a Senior Advisor in Fluvial Flood Risk Modelling to join our Evidence Services. You will lead and assure complex flood risk modelling, provide coaching to Delivery Teams, and collaborate across the Flood and Coastal Risk Management directorate.

You will explain uncertainties and support risk assessment with expertise in hydraulic models, GIS, and hydrology. You will work with six Fluvial Delivery Teams and contribute to Centres of Excellence, with flexible

• Expert knowledge and technical leadership in flood modelling and hydrology.
• Experience building hydraulic flood models in a fluvial setting with GIS software.
• Mentoring and coaching skills; commitment to continuous development.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly to non-expert audiences.
