Job summary

Environment Agency in the South West region is recruiting Project Managers to lead flood risk management projects, delivering outcomes for operational assets and communities across the Wessex area. You will work within Programme & Contract Management (PCM) and collaborate with agency colleagues and partners to drive governance, risk and contract management.

Qualifications

Experience in project management within engineering, construction and/or flood & coastal risk management.
Experience managing contracts, ideally through the NEC4 suites.
Experience delivering results through co-ordination of technical teams.
Established interpersonal and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Working towards chartership of a relevant professional body.
Knowledge base in an engineering, environmental or geography related discipline.

Responsibilities

Lead flood risk management projects to reduce flood risk and enhance the environment.
Collaborate with suppliers, client representatives and technical specialists.
Establish effective relationships and facilitate collaborative, efficient ways of working.
Make project decisions informed by technical leads while following governance and legislation.
Develop a network of stakeholders to negotiate agreements, consents and funding.
Manage a programme of maintenance and improvement works on flood risk assets.
