Qualifications
- Experience delivering flood risk management studies
- Experience using flood modelling software such as Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, HECRAS or ICM
- Degree in hydrology, geography, mathematics, civil engineering, or related discipline
- Strong communication and written skills
- Well organised with ability to prioritise workload independently
- Commitment to health, safety and environmental issues
Responsibilities
- Develop hydraulic models to support flood alleviation schemes and risk assessments
- Conceptualise and scope hydraulic modelling approaches
- Analyse data with ArcGIS, QGIS, Python and Excel
- Produce and review high-quality client reports
- Mentor junior staff through modelling processes and project delivery
- Support project management and client engagement activities
