Job summary
Arup is seeking a Principal Engineer in Flood Risk & Hydraulic Modelling to lead complex hydraulic modelling projects in the UK, delivering robust solutions from planning through to construction. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams across Sheffield, Leeds and Manchester, applying first-class technical judgement and client-focused communication.

Qualifications
- Proven track record delivering water projects in the UK with public/private clients.
- Experience with hydraulic modelling techniques in the UK water industry.
- Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering/Geography/Environmental Science; progress toward chartership.
Responsibilities
- Build or apply hydraulic models and extract results for design solutions.
- Lead technical analysis and design using standard software (InfoWorks ICM, MIKE, etc.).
- Deliver hydraulic modelling projects across the full design process from planning to build.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to client reports and business cases.
