Job summary

World Courier is recruiting a Fleet Transport Manager for our Coatbridge Service Centre. You will lead a substantial driver network, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient transport of materials and temperature-sensitive shipments across the network.

The role requires on-call and weekend duties, with occasional travel to link points across the network. You will drive continuous improvement, optimise operations, manage budgets and provide leadership to Driver Team Managers, drivers and agency

Qualifications

• Experience leading transport operations in fast-paced distribution or logistics.
• Proven ability to manage large driver teams and agency staff.
• Strong knowledge of fleet compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Experience budgeting, cost control and KPI delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily transport operations to achieve service, productivity, safety and compliance KPIs.
• Direct Driver Team Managers, drivers, and agency staff to create a high-performing workforce.
• Ensure health and safety standards are implemented per policy and law.
• Oversee temperature-controlled fleet operations and regulatory compliance.
• Manage budgets, labour costs, fleet utilisation, and route optimisation.
• Drive continuous improvement and support business change programmes.
