Job summary

Frontier Economics is seeking a Financial Controller to own the integrity of financial records and lead the Financial Control team across UK and international offices. You will manage month-end processes, policies and external audit support, while partnering with the Finance Director and FP&A to deliver high-quality reporting.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of standards, reporting and regulations.
• Experience with financial reporting, month-end close, balance sheet management and controls.
• Experience supporting external audits and statutory reporting.
• Experience with working capital and transactional finance processes.
• Experience budgeting, forecasting and providing financial insight to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close, ensure timely and accurate Management Accounts.
• Review P&L, Balance Sheet and supporting schedules; explain variances.
• Ensure revenue recognition, WIP, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets are correctly accounted.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and remedy reconciling items.
• Oversee AP, AR, and supplier management; ensure controls and terms.
