Job summary

Best.Energy in the UK Bristol HQ is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our UK team, owning management accounts, budgeting and forecasting and financial control across UK and international entities.

Reporting to the CFO, you will balance accounting detail with forward-looking commercial analysis, lead balance sheet reconciliations, statutory reporting and process improvements using Xero and related systems.

Qualifications

Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with at least three years post-qualification experience.
Experience owning management accounts production and month-end processes.
Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting experience.

Responsibilities

Own the monthly management accounts production, including journals, accruals and reconciliations.
Produce clear reporting and commentary on financial performance and risks.
Own the annual budget process and regular forecasts with CFO and budget holders.
Maintain cash-flow forecasts and monitor working capital.
Conduct commercial analysis to support pricing, project performance and decisions.
Lead statutory accounts preparation and coordinate audits with the CFO.
