Job summary

Monzo is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to own financial accounting in a lean Finance team spanning London and Cardiff. You’ll lead month-end, consolidation, and management reporting with a strong focus on automation and data-driven insight.

The role requires 2+ years PQE in financial reporting/controlling, IFRS expertise, and comfort with SQL. Flexible UK distribution and a modern work setup are offered.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience in financial reporting/controlling.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and technical accounting expertise.
• Experience with month-end close and group consolidation.
• SQL/data reporting familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close and group consolidation in a lean finance team.
• Write insightful management commentary and interpret financial data.
• Capture efficiencies by leveraging ERP features to reduce manual reporting.
• Drive process improvements and AI adoption in finance workflows.
• Develop SQL-based reports and scalable insights for decision-makers.
• Support year-end activities with auditors and the Financial Reporting squad.
• Assess accounting policy changes for new products and EU expansion.
