Monzo is seeking a Senior Financial Crime Analyst to join our Actions Squad. You’ll own our global risk controls for Exit & Defunds, Law Enforcement and Acceptable Use, with end-to-end BAU oversight across Monzo Bank Limited and Monzo Bank Europe.

Working cross-functionally with Financial Crime, Operations, Product and Engineering, you’ll use data to monitor control effectiveness, identify threats and drive practical improvements while keeping customer outcomes at the core.

• Strong financial crime and regulatory compliance expertise.
• Ability to use data to understand control performance, identify weaknesses and make evidence-based recommendations.
• Excellent communication across operational, technical, and leadership audiences.
• Experience collaborating across Product, Operations and Engineering to drive compliant, customer-focused solutions.

• Owning global risk controls for Exit & Defunds, Law Enforcement and Acceptable Use Standard with end-to-end BAU oversight across Monzo Bank Limited and Monzo Bank Europe.
• Developing and improving control documentation and standards balancing financial crime risk, operational efficiency and customer experience.
• Using data and trend analysis to monitor control effectiveness, identify emerging threats and strengthen controls.
• Ensuring adequate financial crime coverage as Monzo launches new products and expands into new areas.
• Identifying and prioritising material risks, escalating to leadership with practical recommendations.
• Owning investigation and remediation of incidents within your control areas and partnering to resolve high-impact issues.
• Acting as domain expert, sharing knowledge and building capability across the Financial Crime Collective.
• Leading cross-functional initiatives with Product, Operations and Engineering to achieve compliant, customer-focused solutions.
• Taking on Nominated Approver and Financial Crime Floater responsibilities.
