Job summary

M&G is seeking an Experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join the Finance department, delivering financial and management accounting, MI, analysis and reporting to internal and external stakeholders. You will support team members as needed and contribute to the financial control environment.

The role covers financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, capital and liquidity, regulatory reporting, risk oversight and people leadership within the Accounting and Analysis team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant at one of the recognized bodies with up to 2 years post qualification experience.
• Demonstrate understanding of FCA regulations and reporting requirements, ensuring compliance and accurate submission of regulatory returns.
• Ability to manage tight deadlines while maintaining output quality.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of weekly and monthly management information for analysis and decision making.
• Liaise with Group MI team to provide requested MI and answer ad hoc queries.
• Ensure accurate, timely data produced in line with business requirements.
• Prepare group reporting papers and contribute to PMC papers.
• Support other ad hoc reporting to evaluate opportunities.
• Prepare monthly management accounts through to final review and commentary on results.
• Coordinate year end statutory accounts and liaise with auditors for a smooth process.
• Provide accounting information using compliant techniques and standards.
• Update FC/CFO with issues and act as a point of contact for other teams.
