Job summary

M&G is seeking a Senior Results Reporting Accountant within Group Finance to provide subject matter expertise across Group reporting metrics, support robust results production, and explain performance clearly to senior stakeholders and the external market.

Reporting to the Head of Group Results and Analysis, you will work with senior finance leaders, develop narratives for semi-annual reviews and trading updates, and ensure accuracy, consistency and alignment between forecasts and actuals.

Qualifications

• Ability to develop in-depth understanding of Group performance metrics.
• Good understanding of IFRS 17 and Solvency II reporting requirements.
• Experience supporting Group-level results production and performance analysis.
• Ability to apply complex methodologies to new and evolving business activities.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and explain outcomes clearly.
• Proven capability to produce high-quality written narratives for external and internal audiences.

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert on the methodology underpinning key Group performance metrics and IFRS 17 details.
• Support the quarterly production of Group results, ensuring accuracy and clear linkage between measures.
• Assist in applying metric methodologies to new products and segments.
• Develop understanding of planning assumptions feeding forecasts and actuals.
• Draft narratives for semi-annual reviews and trading updates, explaining performance clearly.
• Discuss methodologies and results with senior stakeholders.
