Job summary

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is seeking a Finance Business Partner – Resources and Commissioned Services to join its finance team. This full-time, permanent role offers hybrid working and a challenging remit across corporate services and commissioned arrangements.

You will lead budget setting, financial monitoring, and forecasting, and provide senior financial advice to directors. The role also includes line management of two staff and CIPFA apprenticeship development

Qualifications

Qualified CCAB or equivalent with post-qualification experience.
Experience in financial management, business partnering and strategic advice.
Local government experience desirable but not essential; transferable skills from other sectors welcome.
Mentoring and developing colleagues; proactive leadership and collaboration.

Responsibilities

Act as lead Finance Business Partner for the Resources Directorate, supporting HR, Legal, Libraries and Registration Services.
Provide financial oversight and strategic support for the Council’s contract with Achieving for Children, ensuring value for money.
Manage and develop a small team of finance professionals, fostering continuous improvement and professional growth.
Contribute as a senior member of the finance leadership team to shape the service direction and drive organisational success.
