Job summary

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is seeking a Finance Business Partner to provide strategic financial advice to the Resources Directorate and Achieving for Children. The role leads budgeting, forecasting and commercial insight while developing a small team in a hybrid working environment, with an average two days in the office.

You will have a CCAB qualification, proven partnership and leadership skills, and experience in local government or related sectors.

Qualifications

• CCAB or equivalent accounting qualification with post-qualification experience.
• Experience in high-quality financial management and business partnering.
• Local government experience is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to mentor and develop colleagues.
• Ability to engage with senior managers and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead as Finance Business Partner for the Resources Directorate.
• Provide financial oversight for the Council's contract with Achieving for Children.
• Manage and develop a small team of finance professionals.
• Contribute to the council's financial strategy and leadership team.
