Role Overview:

The Senior Finance Manager leads financial operations across Europe, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory controls. Leading a team of 5 (including 4 direct reports), the role focuses on finance, accounting, analysis, reporting, auditing, taxation, compliance, risk management, and cross-departmental collaboration to align with business goals. Key responsibilities include managing daily financial activities, conducting reconciliations, managing audits, preparing year-end statutory accounts (IFRS & local GAAP), and improving financial processes and controls. The role involves close collaboration with local and headquarters finance teams, regional sales leaders, and other functional leaders.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and prepare accurate consolidated financial reporting for the group, ensuring timely submission.
2. Oversee cash flow & treasury reporting and regular reporting packages to holding companies.
3. Handle audits, tax, and statutory filings locally and regionally, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
4. Strengthen internal controls and mitigate risks.
5. Support local and overseas finance teams to ensure timely and compliant management and statutory reporting.
6. Manage statutory reporting, sub-consolidation, and liaise with auditors and bankers for compliance and results.
7. Coordinate with the headquarter finance team, assisting in streamlining and improving accounting, consolidation, and reporting processes.
8. Participate in new system implementation projects to enhance finance and business operations.
9. Manage and develop the finance team.
10. Support ongoing and ad-hoc projects regionally and locally.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Accounting or Business-related field or equivalent experience.
2. Qualified Accountant is mandatory.
3. At least 5 years of relevant experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
4. Experience in wholesale, distribution, and retail sectors.
5. Knowledge of IBM FC Cognos and BI analytics tools is advantageous.
6. Proficient in Excel; ERP systems experience, especially SAP, is a plus.
7. Ability to interpret and analyze business data with strong business acumen.
8. Attention to detail, accuracy, independence, motivation, organization, and good interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
10. Experience working in an international context is essential.
11. Strong influencing and business partnering skills.
12. Ability to coach team members and support team development.
13. Flexible, adaptable, and fluent in English communication.

The role requires hybrid working, with daily office attendance for the first 6 months for onboarding and integration.
