Senior Finance Manager - Bristol (Hybrid)

Are you a qualified finance professional with a passion for sustainability? Do you excel at leading operational finance while driving strategic improvements? This is a permanent position offering £70,000 - £90,000 plus benefits.

As the Senior Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading the day-to-day operational finance function while supporting strategic initiatives that contribute to the company's mission of tackling climate change.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the operational finance function, including statutory accounting, management accounts, and reporting.
• Oversee tax compliance across both UK and US operations, managing R&D tax credits and EIS strategies.
• Supervise contractors and third parties for bookkeeping, payroll, and specialist finance areas
• Work closely with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling
• Support fundraising efforts and investor relations while managing compliance requirements.

Key Skills:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 7+ years experience combining accounting firm and in-house roles.
• Proven track record of managing financial operations, ideally within a startup environment.
• Experience with both UK and US financial systems, regulations, and reporting would be desirable but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Mission-driven approach with passion for sustainability and climate innovation.
