Finance Manager EMEA - Remote (Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire)

JSS are delighted to be working with a client based in Hemel Hempstead, partnering them on the recruitment of a new Finance Manager EMEA position. The remotely based Finance Manager EMEA is responsible for several European countries and will manage the accurate and timely completion of financial reporting, manage month-end and year-end closing processes and will help drive improvements to the overall efficiency of the finance department. There are two direct reports.

This is a great, mostly remote, Finance Manager for EMEA region for a qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified Finance Manager with at least 2 years UK & European accounting experience across several countries.

The Role:

The Finance Manager EMEA will be responsible for:

• Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for European entities, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
• Preparing and/or reviewing complex journal entries, account reconciliations, roll-forwards, and fluctuation analyses.
• Supporting statutory audits and compliance across multiple European entities.
• Leading or supporting the preparation of key management reports to inform operational decision-making.
• Driving improvements in financial reporting tools, systems, and processes to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.
• Partnering and support the EMEA Controllership Director on regional financial reporting and strategic initiatives.
• Contributing to group-level reporting and provide timely, accurate data to global headquarters.
• Managing or support EMEA-wide finance projects and assist in reducing close timelines and optimize accounting operations.
• Serving as a point of contact for business partners, providing ad hoc reporting, financial insights, and knowledge sharing.
• Managing a complete and effective internal control environment across European entities.

Qualifications:

For this Finance Manager EMEA role, we are seeking an ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified accountant with 4-5 years post qualification experience, who has:

• European accounting knowledge - general ledger and month end
• Good knowledge and understanding of European VAT
• Experience of assisting with annual audit
• Knowledge of US GAAP

On Offer:

A base salary of circa £65,000-75,000 plus bonus and benefits; pension and healthcare. This role is mostly remote working although travel to Hemel Hempstead will be required once or twice per month.
