Job summary

Nationwide Air Conditioning is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead the Finance function in Edenbridge, reporting to the Managing Director. The role combines financial control, commercial finance and systems improvement to drive profitability, cash flow and working capital across multiple sites and contracts.

You will develop budgeting, forecasting and performance analytics, partner with operational leadership, and lead a team to deliver timely management accounts, audit readiness and robust

Qualifications

• Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience with a strong track record in a senior finance role.
• Strong management accounting and commercial finance experience.
• Experience producing and interpreting monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
• Strong Excel and financial systems capability.
• Experience leading and developing a Finance team.
• Experience within construction, facilities management, engineering, maintenance or another project or service-led environment.
• ERP systems and BI tools such as Power BI.
• Experience supporting procurement or purchasing functions.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly management accounts and reporting process.
• Maintain strong P&L and balance sheet control, including accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
• Oversee revenue recognition, work in progress and job costing.
• Lead year-end preparation and external audit requirements.
• Develop finance systems and dashboards; automate processes where possible.
• Provide financial analysis to support significant commercial decisions.
• Oversee purchasing function in collaboration with Strategic Purchasing Manager.
