Job summary

Northern Retrofit, an East Yorkshire-based energy-efficiency and property services contractor, is seeking a Finance Manager in Beverley. You will own day-to-day financial operations, produce monthly management accounts, and work with Directors and external accountants to drive sustainable growth.

The role combines transactional oversight, management accounting, financial planning and commercial partnering, with opportunities to develop the finance function ahead of growth plans.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Finance Manager or similar hands-on role.
• Strong experience in monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management.
• A recognised accountancy qualification or substantial equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day financial operations and controls.
• Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Provide commentary on performance, margins, project profitability and variances.
• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts.
• Oversee payroll, supplier payments, expenses and company credit cards.
• Coordinate VAT, PAYE and other routine financial compliance.
• Support external accountants and year-end tax work.
