Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join our Finance Team.

This role involves being the primary finance partner for the UK manufacturing facility in Melsonby (£1m cost base) with potential expansion, the North Region Signs and Signals Operations (£24m turnover), and R&D Department (£2m annual spend), ensuring appropriate capitalisation.

The role is based in Basingstoke but requires travel to Melsonby and Richmond, with 2-3 overnight stays quarterly.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting UK manufacturing in efficiency analysis, break-even, and cost recoverability
• Analyzing value drivers and operational contributions
• Supporting expansion projects and month-end reporting
• Calculating standards costs and labour rates
• Challenging management constructively and suggesting improvements
• Supporting stock management and reporting
• Conducting regular finance reviews and reporting to senior management
• Managing cost centre reporting in SAP
• Tracking finance KPIs and operational results
• Collaborating with engineering and R&D teams on project prioritization and capitalisation
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
