Job summary

Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst in Cardiff to join the Finance Reporting & Analytics team. You will design and maintain Tableau dashboards, enhance finance reporting, and partner with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights across the business.

The role involves building Power BI visuals, exploring AI-enabled tools, and driving data quality and governance to enable informed decision-making.

Qualifications

• Strong hands‑on experience of developing dashboards and reporting solutions in Tableau
• Good SQL skills and experience working with large or complex datasets
• Experience of creating reports and visualisations using Power BI
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and business‑requirements gathering capabilities
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience of using or exploring AI-enabled tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Power BI Copilot, Tableau Pulse or generative AI solutions
• An understanding of reporting governance, data quality and visualisation best practice
• Experience within financial services, asset management or a Finance function, or with automation tools such as Power Automate, Alteryx or Python

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and maintaining Tableau dashboards and strategic reporting solutions
• Enhancing and optimising reporting across Finance and the wider business
• Developing and maintaining Power BI reports and visualisations where required
• Partnering with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective analytical solutions
• Analysing large and complex datasets to produce clear, actionable insights
• Supporting data quality, reporting governance, certification and access-control processes
• Identifying opportunities to automate manual reporting and improve efficiency
• Using AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to enhance reporting, insight generation and ways of working
