Job summary

Lotus Cars is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to provide advanced technical support across our Italian Dealer network. You’ll lead on complex vehicle issues, support difficult repairs and help dealers strengthen technical capability.

This field-based role requires diagnosing complex faults, mentoring dealer technicians, and collaborating with Lotus Head Office to drive improvements in first-time fix rates and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer, Master Technician, or similar Aftersales role.
• Strong diagnostic capability across electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.
• Excellent technical problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
• Strong communication skills, able to explain issues to technicians and customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support to diagnose and resolve complex vehicle faults.
• Support Dealers with difficult or repeat repairs when standard diagnostics fail.
• Analyse field data to identify root causes and improve first-time fix rates.
• Coach Dealer technicians to improve diagnostic capability and repair quality.
• Collaborate with Head Office to escalate emerging field issues and share best practices.
