Job summary

Kwik Fit is seeking an experienced Senior Field Technician to support centres across the UK with advanced diagnostics, problem-solving, and specialist repair work. This field-based role covers ICE, hybrid, and EV systems and requires travel to centres nationwide.

You will act as the go-to technical expert, helping keep customers safe on the road while mentoring technicians and sharing insights for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise across ICE, hybrid, and EV systems.
• Advanced fault-finding and diagnostic capability.
• Comfortable using specialist tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Able to work independently and manage your workload.
• A confident communicator who can translate technical issues clearly.
• Passionate about supporting and developing others.
• Committed to health, safety, and high standards of workmanship.
• A continuous learner with a positive, solutions-focused mindset.
• Required Qualifications, Certificates or Licences.
• Full UK Drivers Licence.

Responsibilities

• Respond to urgent and planned technical callouts.
• Deliver on-site diagnosis, repair and validation including road testing.
• Provide rectification backup to support customer experience if things go wrong.
• Collaborate with centre teams to prioritise and resolve issues; coach & develop others.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to technicians across the network.
• Build confidence and technical capability within centre teams.
• Support technical investigations and customer queries with insights; shape continuous improvement.
• Share insights on emerging faults and trends.
