Job summary

Kwik Fit is seeking an experienced Senior Field Technician to support centres across the UK with advanced diagnostics and specialist repair work. This field-based role requires expertise across ICE, hybrid, and EV systems and involves diagnosing complex faults, mentoring technicians, and delivering high-quality repairs on-site.

You will travel regionally to support centres, perform diagnosis, repair, and validation including road testing, and contribute to continuous improvement through

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in ICE, hybrid and EV systems.
• Advanced fault-finding and diagnostic capability.
• Comfortable using specialist tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Able to work independently and manage workload.
• Confident communicator who explains technical issues clearly.
• Passionate about developing others.
• Committed to health, safety and workmanship standards.
• Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Respond to urgent and planned technical callouts.
• Deliver on-site diagnosis, repair and validation including road testing.
• Provide rectification backup to support customer experience.
• Collaborate with centre teams to prioritise and resolve issues.
• Coach and develop technicians across the network.
• Build confidence and technical capability within centre teams.
• Support technical investigations and customer queries with clear insights.
• Share insights on faults and trends.
• Contribute to technical bulletins and training materials.
• Lead Technical Excellence with advanced diagnostics across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Resolve complex faults and major repairs including engine, transmission, and high-voltage systems.
• Apply high-voltage isolation procedures confidently.
• Replace and repair EV components.
• Maintain full compliance with EV safety protocols.
