Job summary

Partnership for Progress is seeking a Senior Family Support Worker in the UK to lead shifts as Shift Co-ordinator or a 2nd Senior, guiding Family Support Workers to perform their roles safely on shift. The role requires a minimum of two years’ UK experience with vulnerable adults/children and a Senior role in the UK, including leading a shift.

Essentials include flexible hours (days/nights/weekends), Welsh language ability as desirable, and registration with Social Care Wales during probation.

Qualifications

• Ability to work flexibly, including days, nights and weekends.
• QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) & (Adults).
• Willing to register with Social Care Wales and to achieve AWIF during probationary period.
• Demonstrable understanding of confidentiality and disclosure of personal information.
• Demonstrable high standard of numeracy and literacy skills, ensuring accurate recording of family observations.
• Experience working with vulnerable adults and/or children in the UK, including those with challenging behaviour, mental health needs or disabilities.
• Strong, proactive communicator in all mediums; adaptable communication style for families.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• High standard of organisational skills; flexible and able to re-prioritise for service needs.
• Effective administration skills and IT proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Act as Shift Co-ordinator or 2nd Senior on shift and support Family Support Workers.
• Ensure safe performance of duties on shift and guide junior staff.
