Job summary

Partnership for Progress is recruiting a Family Support Worker for Ty Seren, a residential family centre in Bridgend, South Wales. The role includes day and night shifts, with weekend work and a 14-week placement cycle for families in need.

The ideal candidate has Health & Social Care qualifications, UK experience with vulnerable groups, and the ability to work flexibly across shifts. Full-time/part-time/permanent positions available.

Qualifications

• You will have at least 1 year of experience working with vulnerable adults and/or children in the UK.
• Willing to work days, nights and weekends.
• Willing to register with Social Care Wales and to achieve AWIF during probation.
• Willing to work towards QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (CYP) or City & Guilds 2/3 HSC (Adults).
• Demonstrable understanding of confidentiality and data handling.

Responsibilities

• Promote the service’s mission, values and policies and comply with safeguarding procedures.
• Share information, follow directions and complete allocated duties; hand over unfinished tasks with clear rationale.
• Support each family in line with MDT, addressing assessed needs.
• Assist parents to meet children’s development and independent living needs.
• Accompany families in the service and in the community when required.
• Maintain accurate records of family observations and interactions.
