Something Extraordinary Every Day

As the Senior Facilities Manager at The Bicester Collection, you will provide central oversight and strategic management of facilities operations across our nine European villages.

This senior role requires a strategic vision to ensure uniformity and compliance with the group's operational standards and sustainability initiatives.

Working closely with the Director of Construction and Village Facilities Managers, you will ensure that all facilities operate smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with corporate goals.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in overseeing large, distributed facilities and will be adept at driving performance and consistency across different geographies.

What you will be doing

The key responsibilities of this role will include some or all the following:

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of global facilities management strategies to ensure uniformity across all village operations. Monitor compliance with group policies and standards.
  • Lead and mentor local Facilities Managers, enhancing their capabilities to manage day-to-day operations effectively. Facilitate regular communication across sites to foster a cohesive team environment.
  • Implement centralized monitoring systems for tracking the performance of each village's facilities operations. Use this data to guide strategic improvements and ensure best practices are shared and implemented across all locations.
  • Champion and coordinate sustainability efforts across all villages to align with corporate environmental goals. Ensure initiatives are effectively implemented and results are monitored and reported.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Construction on large scale capital projects, ensuring they meet the strategic objectives of the organization. Oversee the planning and execution of major maintenance and refurbishment projects across the villages.

What makes you special

We are looking for an individual who can display the following experience and skills:

  • Proven experience as a Facilities Manager or similar role with responsibility for multiple sites, preferably in a retail or multi-site commercial environment.
  • Strong understanding of facilities management operations, maintenance, and sustainability practices.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams across geographical locations.
  • Proficient in the use of facilities management software, such as CAFM systems, with a strong emphasis on Planon and SFG20 standards.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
