Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our 4 days on / 4 days off shift pattern in London. You will carry out regular inspections, read meters, sign off CAFEM work orders for PPM, and ensure smooth handovers between shifts to keep plant running.

The ideal candidate will hold an electrical and/or mechanical qualification (C&G or equivalent), be skilled in electrical and mechanical trades, and have fault-finding ability to component level.

Qualifications

• Must possess a recognised qualification relevant to the role (e.g. mechanical or electrical C&G).
• Skilled in Electrical and Mechanical trades; Apprenticeship with indentures preferred.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and steam systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Regular daily inspections and meter readings.
• Sign off work orders from CAFEM System for PPM if required.
• Add breakdown information to CAFEM System as needed.
• Ensure proper handover between shifts.
• PPM tasks on equipment with Production Team.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship on shift engineers.
• Order spare parts as specified and manage the Shift Rota with the Engineering Manager.
• Cover for the Engineering Manager/Chief Engineer in their absence and manage safety/compliance.
