Job summary

Precision People is recruiting a Senior Fabricator Welder for a permanent role based in Leicester LE9. The position involves MIG welding and fabrication, reading detailed drawings and mentoring junior welders. Salary up to £21.00 per hour.

You will report to the Head Welder Fabricator, MIG weld steel up to 60mm, and guide a team of welders on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Weld MIG up to 60mm on mild steel.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Mentor and guide junior welders.
• Over 5 years industry experience welding mid to heavy gauge mild steel.
• Fully skilled fabricator.
• Fitting experience.

Our client is looking for a senior welder / fabricator to perform advanced metal fabrication, setting up complex welding equipment, interpreting engineering blueprints, and mentoring junior team members

Job Purpose

• To report to the Fabrication Manager
• To MIG weld steel up to 60mm
• To read all engineering drawings
• To read and interpret complex engineering drawings
• To Mentor and guide junior team members

Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Ability to weld to a High Standard
• MIG Weld up to 60mm
• Fitting experience
• Have more than 5 years industry experience welding mid to heavy gauge mild steel
• Fully skilled fabricator
• Experiencing and guiding junior welders
