Job summary

Air Products PLC in the UK is seeking a Principal Applications Specialist (Fabrication) to drive regional Merchant Fabrication growth and retention. You will lead a small team of 3–4 Application Specialists, collaborate with the Merchant Commercial team, and develop a Regional Key Customer & Technology Contacts Plan.

Qualifications

• Effective team leadership.
• MIG/MAG, TIG welding and Oxy/fuel welding & cutting proficiency.
• Up-to-date welding/fabrication technology knowledge.
• Strong self-motivation, self-discipline and sales ability.
• Good interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internal software.

Responsibilities

• Deliver own Merchant Fabrication growth and retention targets.
• Lead a Regional Merchant Applications Specialists’ Team of 3–4 specialists to hit regional targets.
• Foster collaboration between Application Specialists and Merchant Commercial teams.
• Develop and deliver a Regional Key Customer & Technology Contacts Plan.
• Coach and manage the Regional Fabrication Applications Team.
• Collaborate with commercial colleagues to win new Merchant Fabrication Accounts.
• Maximize loyalty and returns in existing Merchant Fabrication Accounts.
• Deliver training courses for colleagues and channel partners.
• Support marketing and promotional events, exhibitions, etc.
• Maintain relationships with key equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
