Moody's is seeking a Senior External Communications Strategist to lead strategic communications, build media relationships, and elevate thought leadership across the EMEA region. You will partner with internal teams to craft compelling narratives and manage external and internal messaging for complex financial services markets.

The role requires crafting influential media campaigns, leveraging AI tools to optimize results, and providing executive-level counsel to senior business partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in communications, public relations, and/or journalism.
• Experience in regulated industries, financial services, technology, or related sectors preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
• Strong media relations experience with the ability to build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets across the EMEA region.
• Excellent presentation skills and on-screen presence with the ability to influence senior partners.
• Highly organized with strong time management and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in AI concepts with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows.
• English proficiency essential; business fluency in German, French, or Arabic at B2 level or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic communications initiatives that strengthen Moody's brand and thought leadership across the EMEA region.
• Partner with internal business groups to create external and internal communications strategies.
• Create and execute media outreach plans, spokesperson materials, and other content.
• Build relationships with journalists and media organizations to enhance Moody's visibility.
• Identify opportunities for media interviews and thought leadership coverage.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to monitor media coverage and derive insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure aligned messaging.
• Provide occasional weekend and out-of-hours support for media relations.
