Job summary

The Resolute Group is recruiting a Senior Estimator for major infrastructure projects near Glasgow, focusing on power transmission and distribution. You will develop robust estimates and support tender submissions, drawing on civil engineering experience or power sector knowledge.

You will review tender documents, quantify labour, plant, materials and subcontract costs, assess quotations, and communicate pricing to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Senior Estimator or Estimator role within construction, civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Experience in power transmission and distribution is ideal or transferable civils skills.
• Experience preparing and reviewing project estimates and handling quotations.
• Ability to interpret project information and explain estimating assumptions clearly.
• Strong communication and collaboration across bid, commercial and operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Review tender information, drawings, specs and project requirements.
• Develop detailed estimates for labour, plant, materials, subcontract costs.
• Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify assumptions, exclusions, risks and opportunities in the estimate.
• Collaborate with operational and technical teams on delivery approaches.
• Prepare estimating information and documentation for tenders.
• Contribute to estimate reviews and challenge cost inputs.
• Communicate key pricing considerations to stakeholders.
• Support handover of tenders to project delivery with basis of estimate and risks.
