Emtec Utility Services, part of Emtec Group, seeks an experienced Estimator to support tender submissions for energy infrastructure projects from our Uddingston office. You will prepare detailed costings, review requirements and develop practical solutions that meet client expectations and technical standards.

You will work with design, commercial and operations teams, producing accurate quotations and buildable cost estimates. This role offers a clear pathway for growth within a supportive team.

Competenze

• Previous estimating experience in electrical utilities, infrastructure or similar.
• Degree, HNC or equivalent qualification in a commercial or engineering discipline would be beneficial.
• Experience using AutoCAD to produce design and as-fitted drawings.
• Good understanding of DNO and INA regulations, codes of practice and legislative requirements.
• Confidence interpreting specifications and technical drawings.
• Understanding of contracts, conditions and obligations.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.

Mansioni

• Preparing detailed take-offs and bills of quantities for tender opportunities.
• Producing accurate customer quotations and project costings.
• Completing quotation letters, PQQs and ITT submissions.
• Reviewing specifications and drawings for accuracy and buildability.
• Supporting the early design and development of potential contracts.
• Assisting with the planning and preparation of larger projects.
• Developing strong relationships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
• Working collaboratively with internal teams to produce high-quality tender submissions.
