Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking an experienced Estimator/Senior Estimator within the Advisory and Programme Delivery unit to deliver high-quality cost estimates across project lifecycles. You will work with stakeholders to define scope, develop cost plans, and ensure estimates reflect risks, opportunities, and sustainability considerations.

The role requires knowledge of estimating methodologies, governance, and sign-off processes, with a hybrid working policy and opportunities for career growth

Qualifications

• Hold responsibility for cost estimate development through all stages of project lifecycles.
• Undertake estimates using multiple techniques including bottom-up and top-down methods.
• Develop and maintain cost plans reflecting scope, risks, and uncertainties.
• Prepare basis of estimate reports with clear assumptions and exclusions.

Responsibilities

• Hold responsibility for cost estimate development through all stages of project lifecycles, from concept to delivery.
• Undertake estimates using first-principle bottom-up and parametric top-down methods.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to capture the scope of estimating activities.
• Develop contingency and consider risks, opportunities, and carbon in estimates.
