Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Glasgow seeks a Senior Estimator to join our Complex Projects, Delivery Partner team, delivering estimates from feasibility through detailed design across infrastructure, transport and energy sectors.

You will lead take-offs, support bids, collaborate with designers, engineers and clients, and help develop a high-performing regional estimating team. The role includes hybrid working and strong development prospects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in estimating, quantity surveying, engineering, construction or equivalent.
• Chartership with or working towards RICS, ICE, AACE or ACostE.
• Understanding of contingency and risk allowances.
• Knowledge of indirect costs, cost breakdown structures and forecasting costs.
• Stakeholder engagement with designers, engineers, project managers and clients.
• Ability to work across multiple sectors and disciplines and adapt to learn new skills.
• Capability to obtain security clearance (ideal).

Responsibilities

• Support estimating service delivery from feasibility to detailed design.
• Work across projects of different types and sectors.
• Produce Class 5 (order of magnitude) to Class 1 (bottom-up) estimates.
• Assist leadership in bids and proposals to grow the portfolio.
• Provide input to improve the quality of client deliverables.
• Support development of a high performing regional team.
• Demonstrate proficiency with estimating methods and benchmarking data.
• Support basis-of-estimate reports for Director reviews and client submissions.
