Job summary

Prestwick Aerosystems Limited, part of Airbus, is seeking a Senior Estimator in Prestwick, Ayrshire. The role is full-time, site-based with a 37-hour week and a salary from £44,348. Occasional travel and security checks apply.

You will prepare quotes for new business, liaising with departments to gather data and deliver costed estimates for aircraft components. Strong communication, commercial awareness and understanding of contract terms are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate written and oral with internal teams and customers.
• Developed commercial and financial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Allocate tasks and provide direction to estimators for construction of quotes.
• Compile estimates from drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Use parametric or historical data to build estimates with reasonable assumptions.
• Present estimates with clear assumptions for non-specialists.
• Liaise with departments to obtain data for estimates and quotations.
• Provide estimating support for engineering change and cost reduction opportunities.
