Job summary

M Group is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead cost estimation and tender submissions for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will review drawings, specifications and client requirements to identify risks, opportunities and delivery strategies, coordinating input from operations, design, commercial and supply chain teams.

You will manage pricing for civils, pipelines and MEICA interfaces, support value engineering, and evaluate supplier quotations to deliver competitive bids.

Qualifications

  • Proven estimating experience in UK water sector or civil engineering.
  • Good knowledge of water & wastewater infrastructure, pipelines, treatment works.

Responsibilities

What will you be doing?

You’ll lead the development of cost estimates and tender submissions for water and wastewater infrastructure projects along with reviewing drawings, specifications and client requirements to identify risks, opportunities and delivery strategies.

We’ll need you to manage pricing for civils, pipelines, structures, MEICA interfaces and associated enabling works as well as coordinating input from operational, design, commercial and supply chain teams to produce competitive bids.

You’ll obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, ensuring compliance with client and framework requirements and support value engineering, risk management and continuous improvement across the estimating function.

What you’ll bring
  • - Do you have proven Estimating experience within the UK water sector or civil engineering environment.
  • - Have you for strong knowledge of water and wastewater infrastructure, pipelines, treatment works and network projects?
  • - Do you have experience of framework bidding, target cost contracts and collaborative delivery models?
  • - Are you commercially astute with strong risk and opportunity assessment capabilities?
  • - Are you proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office?
  • - Do you have excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills, with relevant construction qualifications preferred?
