Job summary

BGEN Ltd, part of M Group Water, is seeking a Project Manager to lead day-to-day management, planning, forecasting and change control on water industry projects.

You’ll monitor commercial performance, manage risks, and communicate with clients, designers and manufacturing teams to keep projects on track. You will work with the Quantity Surveyor to meet contractual obligations and ensure CDM compliance.

Qualifications

  • Strong planning, organisation and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication at all levels.
  • Confident IT user; experience with MS Project preferred.

  • Monitor commercial performance, identify risks early, and communicate with clients, designers and manufacturing teams.
  • Support coordinators with routine tasks and ensure scope, programme and changes are understood by all teams.
  • Act as the main client contact, elevate issues when needed, and help shape new bids.
  • With support from the Quantity Surveyor, meet contractual obligations, maintain reporting, and uphold CDM responsibilities.

This role will join BGEN - one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear and food and beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions

What you'll be doing:

You’ll handle day‑to‑day project management with care, from planning and forecasting to managing change and keeping everyone informed.

You’ll monitor commercial performance, highlight risks early, and communicate clearly with clients, designers, and manufacturing teams to keep projects moving smoothly.

You’ll support coordinators with routine tasks and ensure all teams understand the scope, programme, and any changes.

You’ll act as the main client contact, elevate key issues when needed, and help shape new bids.

With support from the Quantity Surveyor, you’ll meet contractual obligations, maintain accurate reporting, uphold CDM responsibilities, and champion safe, high‑quality site delivery.

What you'll bring:

Strong planning, organisation and time‑management skills

Positive, approachable, and always willing to help

Great interpersonal and communication skills at all levels

Confident IT user, especially Word, Excel and MS Project

Comfortable working independently and using initiative

Commercially aware and a supportive team player

Helpful understanding of electrical installations and control systems

Open to learning, training, and annual reviews
