Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking an experienced Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) to help shape and manage a substantial public sector estate across schools, historic buildings, commercial assets, farms, and countryside sites.

The role focuses on estate management, property transactions, and asset strategy, leading landlord and tenant activity, acquisitions, disposals, and major projects with internal teams and external advisers to maximise asset value and deliver value for communities and services.

Qualifications

• Commercially minded Chartered Surveyor with MRICS qualification and experience in estate management or wider property sector.
• Strong experience in landlord and tenant work, acquisitions, disposals and strategic estate projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional estates management advice and deliver property services.
• Lead on diverse property transactions and contribute to asset strategy and policies.
• Manage major projects with internal teams and external consultants, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery.
