Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Associate/Associate Environmental Consultant to join our Environmental and Sustainability Services team. You will lead multidisciplinary projects, coordinate environmental assessments, and ensure compliance with UK EIA legislation while guiding junior staff and managing budgets.

You will collaborate with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to integrate sustainability into design and decision-making, supporting net-zero and resilience objectives across

Qualifications

Chartership through a relevant organisation.
Demonstrable knowledge of EIA and UK legislation; DCO schemes beneficial.
Experience in project and construction environmental management with design teams.
Willingness to travel from home base as needed.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate projects from feasibility to EIA as part of planning applications.
Manage project teams, scoping, delivery of environmental appraisals and assessments.
Programme EIA processes, manage environmental risks, coordinate specialists.

Skills

Strong IT skills

Excellent written and spoken comms

Self-starting

Line management experience (advantage)

Education
