Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Principal Environmental Consultant to join our Environmental and Sustainability Services team in the UK. You will lead multi-disciplinary projects from feasibility through Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and planning applications across major infrastructure schemes. You will coordinate environmental, social, and sustainability deliverables and manage project teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable knowledge of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and UK legislation.
• Experience with large infrastructure projects and DCO schemes would be beneficial.
• Ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate environmental appraisals and EIA processes.
• Manage project teams, timelines, and budgets across diverse client teams.
• Provide technical checks and mentoring to junior staff.
• Engage with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to address environmental concerns.
