Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior or Principal Consultant to join our minerals and waste team. You will manage and deliver planning and environmental inputs across a range of projects for a diverse client base, working within the Town and Country Planning Act regime and the Planning Act 2008.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, win bids, manage budgets, and develop sustainable development solutions, with hybrid working and opportunities for Chartership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Town Planning or equivalent discipline.
• Membership of RTPI or equivalent bodies (IEMA, RICS).
• Experience delivering minerals & waste projects in the UK.
• Strong understanding of the UK planning system and EIA process.
• Excellent report writing and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage projects delivering planning and environmental inputs for minerals and waste projects.
• Bid/tender activity, project team management, and budget delivery.
• Interface with clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams across project lifecycles.
• Represent WSP to clients and industry stakeholders.
