Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced professional in the UK to join its minerals and waste specialists, delivering planning and environmental inputs across a wide client base. The role offers involvement from early strategy through feasibility to detailed design and assessment.

You will manage projects, bid activity, budgets and team delivery while collaborating with technical environmental specialists and design professionals. Hybrid working is supported.

Qualifications

• A degree (or equivalent) in Town Planning or relevant discipline.
• Membership of the RTPI or other relevant body (IEMA/RICS).
• Experience delivering minerals and waste projects in the UK.
• Good understanding of the UK planning system.
• Knowledge of the Environmental Impact Assessment process.
• Excellent reporting skills and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Excellent communication skills and relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Identify, win and deliver multi-disciplinary inputs influencing minerals and waste development management and spatial planning projects.
• Bid, lead project teams, manage delivery and financial aspects of projects.
• Provide technical and consenting advice across minerals and waste portfolios.
• Support broader projects with minerals/materials and waste impact assessments.
• Interface with clients, regulators and other stakeholders to represent WSP.
• Deliver high-quality outputs that meet internal and client requirements.
