Job summary

TwoScore - HSEQ Recruitment is seeking a Senior Environmental Advisor for a major civil engineering programme on a regulated nuclear site in Cumbria. The role focuses on ensuring environmental compliance, promoting best practice, and supporting achievement of environmental objectives on site.

The position involves collaborating with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to minimise environmental impacts while meeting legislation and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, or regulated industries.
• Degree or equivalent in Environmental Management or related field.
• Experience conducting environmental audits, inspections, and monitoring on site.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the project's Environmental Management Plan and ensure compliance with legislation, permits, and site requirements.
• Conduct environmental inspections, audits, and monitoring activities; identify improvements and ensure corrective actions.
• Provide environmental advice and support to project teams, promoting best practice in waste, pollution prevention and resource efficiency.
• Assist with environmental reporting, incident investigations, and collection of performance data.
• Engage with stakeholders and supply chain partners to drive continual environmental improvement across activities.
