Job summary

Rullion is seeking an environmental professional for a permanent role based in Seascale, Cumbria. You will undertake environmental aspect and impact assessments, develop CEMP and related management plans, and ensure these are communicated to site teams and the supply chain.

The ideal candidate has construction industry experience, strong communication skills, and a degree-level qualification. There is potential SC clearance, and the role aligns with ISO14001 and BS50001 standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental aspect & impact assessments.
• Ability to develop CEMP and other project management plans (pollution prevention, waste management).
• Ability to communicate CEMP to site teams and supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Undertake environmental aspect & impact assessments.
• Identify mitigation measures and develop CEMP and any other project specific management plans.
• Ensure CEMP is communicated to project site teams and supply chain.
• Deliver training and toolbox talks.
• Apply for environmental consents and permits as required.
• Maintain a consents register and ensure permits are discharged.
• Review MS/RA to ensure environmental protections on site.
• Carry out regular site inspections.
• Use HART to report and close issues.
• Carry out trend analysis and identify risks.
• Investigate environmental incidents and liaise with regulators.
• Review management plans and protections; implement changes.
• Support HSE during audits.
• Help deliver commitments to ISO14001 and BS50001.
• Support PM to maintain client/local authority relationships.
• Prepare and present reports on environmental performance.
• Capture best practices and produce case studies.
• Contribute to tenders and PQQs.
