Job summary

Mint Selection Ltd is recruiting an Environment & Sustainability Advisor for a London-based, hybrid role in energy infrastructure. You will lead environmental and sustainability performance across development, construction and operations, reporting to the Group HSEQ Director.

You will influence environmental standards, manage EMS, permits and ESG reporting, and engage with multiple project teams across the lifecycle, with occasional European exposure.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in environmental/sustainability advisory.
• At least 2 years' site-based experience for asset owners or contractors.
• Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation, permitting and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
• Experience managing environmental permits, consents and planning conditions across multiple projects or sites.
• Understanding of Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental guidance to development, construction and operations teams.
• Maintain and improve the Environmental Management System and support ISO 14001 certification.
• Manage environmental registers and ensure permits and planning conditions compliance.
• Review Environmental Management Plans, Construction Environmental Management Plans and Waste Management Plans.
• Provide environmental input across the full project lifecycle from development to operation.
• Lead and support environmental audits, evaluations and incident investigations.
• Develop sustainability/ESG metrics including Scope 1-3 emissions reporting.
• Support sustainability reporting to the Board, investors and lenders.
• Coordinate environmental improvement initiatives and biodiversity commitments.
• Work with contractors and site teams to set environmental standards and drive performance.
• Deliver environmental awareness, training and engagement across the organisation.
• Support UK projects with occasional European involvement.
