Job summary

Siemens Energy in the United Kingdom is seeking an Environmental Advisor to support the Head of Environment in developing, implementing and maintaining the Siemens EMS within the Project Entity. You will provide expert environmental guidance to Site Managers and Project Delivery teams, acting as a key contact for site environmental issues.

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental legislation and promote sustainability across projects,

Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant discipline with strong understanding of environmental legislation and sustainability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills; proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Graduate ISEP Membership or above (or willingness to achieve).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Environment in the continuous improvement of the EMS and energy management system; ensure objectives are met.
• Monitor changes to UK and European environmental legislation and update business processes accordingly.
• Ensure employees understand statutory duties and the requirements of company environmental procedures.
• Identify and manage environmental consents; ensure compliance with the Project Environmental Management Plan.
• Conduct environmental audits and inspections to monitor compliance and encourage resource efficiency; support incident investigations and corrective actions.
