The role requires seniority in mechanical design, experience in the defence sector and hands‑on leadership to mentor engineers and collaborate with sales and production teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience in defence sector and hydraulic systems.
• Experience in mechanical design engineering.
• Experience with Solid Edge and Auto Desk is essential.
• Senior engineering experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Desire to progress to a senior leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers to meet day-to-day targets and mentor junior engineers.
• Plan and execute strategies to complete projects on time.
• Develop and manage works instructions and review engineering documentation.
• Review contracts and submit permits as required.
• Research and develop designs and products for hydraulics.
• Create project schedules, budgets and cost estimates, and assemble teams.
