Job summary

DHX, the hydraulic engineering arm of Kinetic Solutions Group, is recruiting a Senior Hydraulic Design Engineer to lead end-to-end design of hydraulic systems. You will work on power units, cylinders, manifolds and valve solutions, reporting to the Lead Engineer and collaborating with clients to ensure design excellence from concept to manufacture.

The role requires strong CAD skills (AutoCAD, Inventor), a mechanical engineering degree, and a track record of delivering robust hydraulic designs

Qualifications

• Experience designing hydraulic systems for high-performance sectors (defence, renewables, infrastructure).
• Proficient in hydraulic power packs, cylinders, manifolds and bespoke valve solutions.
• Ability to create hydraulic circuit diagrams and perform flow/pressure calculations.
• Experience with fabrication/machining processes and design for manufacture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of bespoke hydraulic systems from concept to manufacture.
• Produce 2D/3D CAD models, assemblies and BOMs.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with standards and customer specs.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver design excellence.
