Job summary

Lloyd's/London Market Insurer seeks an Engineering & Construction Senior Claims Adjuster to manage a diverse portfolio of claims worldwide from initial notification to settlement.

The ideal candidate will have extensive engineering/constructio nclaims experience, strong negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of policy coverage and regulatory issues. This role emphasizes collaboration with underwriters, actuaries and panel advisers to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Extensive prior experience in Engineering and/or Construction claims adjusting.
• Understanding of policy coverage, claims negotiations skills and claims strategy.
• Understanding and applying legal, regulatory and territorial issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of the Lloyd's insurance market is preferred.
• Honesty, integrity and fairness at all times with willingness to take responsibility and accountability.
• A positive, enthusiastic and confident disposition.

Responsibilities

• Proactively adjusting claims through to resolution.
• Ensuring sufficient financial provisions are held for all claims.
• Developing collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, especially underwriters and actuaries.
• Ensuring effective technical oversight of TPAs/Service Providers via regular meetings and peer reviews.
• Instructing and working with panel lawyers, adjusters and experts to secure best outcomes while controlling costs and reducing leakage.
