• Proven track record managing lawyers, surveyors and adjusters.

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad portfolio of Marine Cargo, Project Cargo, Specie, Marine & Energy Liability and Ports & Terminals claims.
• Review coverage positions and establish reserving strategies throughout claims lifecycle.
• Provide technical support and guidance on War & Terrorism products and reinsurance claims as needed.
• Develop claims strategies and negotiate settlements in line with policy terms.
• Lead and coordinate lawyers, surveyors, loss adjusters and service providers.
• Collaborate with Marine Underwriters via portfolio reviews, claims analysis and wordings discussions.
• Support Head of Marine, Energy & Specialty Claims with strategy delivery and infrastructure development.
• Mentor and coach junior claims team members.
• Identify trends, risks and portfolio insights to support underwriting strategy.

We are recruiting for a Senior Claims Adjuster - Marine & Energy on behalf ofon behalf of a leading global specialty insurer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management ofcomplex, large loss and strategically important Marine claims acrossLloyd's and Company Market platforms.

Key Requirements

• Handling a broadportfolio of Marine Cargo, Project Cargo, Specie, Marine & Energy Liabilityand Ports & Terminals claims, both on a lead and follow basis.
• Reviewing coverage positions and establishing appropriate reserving strategies throughoutthe lifecycle of a claim.
• Providing technical support and referral guidance in respect of associated War &Terrorism products and Specialty Reinsurance claims as required.
• Developing claims strategies and negotiating settlements in accordance with policy terms andconditions.
• Leading the management of lawyers, surveyors, loss adjusters and other specialistservice providers.
• Supporting and collaborating closely with Marine Underwriters through regular portfolioreviews, claims analysis and wordings discussions.
• Supporting the Head of Marine, Energy & Specialty Claims in delivering claims strategyand infrastructure development.
• Mentoring and coaching junior members of the claims team.
• Identifying claims trends, emerging risks and portfolio insights to support underwritingstrategy;
